  • Obvious significant pain (source not important)
Exclusion Criteria
  • Hx of high risk airway disease, surgery or tracheostomy
  • Respiratory distress or oxygen requirement
  • Head/mid-face trauma, LOC or mental status changes
  • Toxic appearance
Consultation with physician qualified to manage acute pain.
